Can anyone find a new home for Melo?
Good evening and welcome back my good people, we're going to jump into the highlights of last nights games but today's discussion will mainly be on Carmelo Anthony and his upsetting drop from Huston's roster. Now if you're a Melo fan this is a hurt piece but if you are a person like myself who dislike Melo and think he should just hang his jersey up and retire already, then this is the topic you want to tune in on. As you may know Carmelo Anthony have been struggling shooting the ball and keeping up with the pace of the game lately. Some are saying "he's in a slump it will be over soon" but you have people like me wondering when will the "slump" be over. Don't get me wrong Melo was a great player in his prime, and will be a future Hall of Famer it's just sometimes you need to know when to call it quits. He done the NBA good while playing and if he doesn't want to ruin his legacy he needs to fall back and retire.
Since we're talking about roster changes, what do ya'll think about the Jimmy Butler trade? Do ya'll think it was a steal for the Sixers or Timberwolves? I know for me I think it was a great pick up by the Sixers and for Philadelphia. I believe that Jimmy Butler will not just be a good player for the Sixers but also a good role model for the kids in Philadelphia trying to get to where he's at in life. Reason being is because Jimmy had overcame a lot of obstacles that many kids in Philadelphia are faced with. He's an example for kids and adults because he was like a rose that grew from the concrete, he never gave up on his dream and through him people will see that no matter your circumstances anything is possible. The city of Philadelphia need that type of person as the face of our city, I believe we can grow as a city because most young kids and adults give up on their dreams due to the hardships they face in life and resort to things not so positive.
Hearing Jimmy story let me know that it's easy to give up but something worth achieving is going to come with obstacles to distract you from your main goal. Enough of the Jimmy Butler talk let's get into the standings. The Golden State Warriors are the number one seed in the western conference with a record of 12-4 followed by the Portland Trailblazzers with a surprising 10-4 record, those are the two teams taking over in the west. Now for the east the Raptors and Bucks are taking control. The bucks have some young talent leading them with Giannis Anteokounmpo averaging 26.8 points a game and 13 rebounds tWell that's it for today we'll be back next week with the F it fridays give aways and more. Have a great weekend and don't forget to comment your favorite team below.
